A message
from Sandie Smith...
We must remember that MWD's are
not just dogs, but hard working "SOLDIERS" that help to save the
lives of many of our men and women serving our country.
My goal is to make people aware that our working dogs are a very
important part of our military and must remember that they too
are soldiers. They help to save the lives of many of our men and
women serving our country. All too, often our 4 legged soldiers
are forgotten soldiers and forgotten hero's of war. Just like
all soldiers they serve our country with pride and honor, stand
at attention and are willing give their live for our freedom.
We
can not forget any of our soldiers, 2 or 4 legged.
We are one organization working together
to support all of our soldiers men, women & K-9's.
Thank you for your support, Sandie Smith, Desert K-9's coordinator
Desert K-'s has a mascot named K-9 Joe, in memory of PFC Joseph Miracle of Ortonville, Michigan. Joseph gave his life on July 5, 2007 after serving only 35 days in Afghanistan.
"K-9 Joe" proudly displays the doggles, booties and the cooling vest. This is a very good visual so that people know exactly what the cooling vest, boots and doggles look like.
